I've got a mix of ST60 + ST6-+ instruments with covers that are functional but a bit tatty / faded. I've been trying to spruce up the cockpit, and thought of getting some new ones to complete the look.
There are a load of old threads here, some second hand covers come up on ebay from time to time (often tatty too), and some (very few) replacements available online at ridiculously expensive prices.

However, I just came across a source in Plymouth offering replacements here on ebay for a tenner each - much more reasonable that the money being asked for some replacements.

The seller is listed as "UKElectronicsStore", I called the guy to ask about them, this is what I found.
  • Only ST60 (the older version) is available at the moment - this does not fit the ST60+ (even though they are close).
  • ST60+ versions (the later model) will be available soon, "in a few weeks" - they are testing out the ST60+ design/fit.
  • They are made from ASA plastic , which is UV resistant
I hope this doesn't sound like an advert - I've nothing to do with the vendor , but I am hoping to order a mix of ST60 and ST60+ when the latter comes available, and given the history of these threads and the amount of old Raymarine kit about it seems like it's info worth sharing.

The best time to buy replacement instrument covers is when you buy the instruments as they otherwise seem to be come unavailable or ridiculously expensive very very quickly. When I fitted my Simrad stuff I bought two spare covers for the instrument displays and a spare cover for the chart plotter, so I could replace the lot if necessary. They're all still in a box at home waiting for their day, which will surely come....

What a good idea. At the moment I can't even afford the ridiculously expensive covers (hence interested in these new ones available), but will remember this tip for sure when buying new instruments !
