I really, really am going to turn off the gas everytime I leave the boat- why why why can't my brain remember the simple act of turning the knob on the bottle?? I then have to make a special trip back when I remember. I feel reckless even admitting this on a forum full of people for whom this is probably second nature.
I'm also going to slacken my furling genoa halyard at the end of the day.
I promise to check the engine oil level every trip.
I will make the effort to eat at least one nutrionally balanced meal per day.
Alcohol intake will be strictly limited while moored up, to one white wine spiritzer, enabling me to always be in a fit state to move my boat legally should the need arise.
Chocolate intake will be reduced to a maximum of 2 bars per day whilst underway.
I will make more effort to do twice daily radiochecks, just in case a terminal has corroded.
I will not wee on the fender socks of large power boats, as taught to me by an RYA instructor.
I will learn all the col regs in enough detail to be able to contribute constructively to any threads on the matter.
