New Season Solent Meet

Hi All

Just a thought but I am still in my newer years on this Forum, and I know quite a number of newbies have joined of late too who are solent based.

So my thought process is how about a meet up this coming season, perhaps a cruise in company to a nice spot in the Solent followed by lunch etc. Perhaps May onwards. Would be nice to meet a few of you regulars on here who are down my way.

Would be good to get an idea of numbers and we can get something arranged.

I dont think i'd have the time to commit to that kind of thing. This was just a relaxed open invite to meet some fellow forumites in the coming season on one occasion.

Yes, great idea. We met at Yarmouth last July, and happy to do the same, or East Cowes, or Bembridge, or anywhere else. If we are going to do this, we need to make a booking soon, as the marina's get full quickly.

Thanks for all responses so far. It looks like this is going to happen with a few interested parties already. :encouragement:

So, let's go with Rafiki's suggestion and meet at the Lifeboat, East Cowes. For those that would like to, we shall set off from Southampton Water and cruise over in company. For IOW and non So'ton / Hamble owners, you are welcome to meet us for the trip across, or meet at the destination if preferred.

I will get a date together shortly and keep that as the target date. Most likely a Saturday in July.
