you can see the fold back roof, and she has a lovely interior. I am demoind her next week so will let you know what she's like, this is a twin engined one.
Sorry but I think it looks very Maxum 2300SCR ish with an over large hard top.
For the same mony you could prob pick up a Jeanneau Prestige 34 with a hard top and D6s.
Needs someyhing down the side of it or a blue hull I dont know just something. Seriously I dont know why MBM are raving so much about it. When I looked inside it at the show some of the quality and design was great and then some of the cheapo finishing touches were awful.
Certainly not on my wish list although avery good sized boat for the CI.
I hope you haven't bought it yet because I will be condemned for expressing my true opinions about someone's pride and joy. So if you have don't read on.
I think it looks awful. I would imagine it reacts like a balloon in any hint of wind. Someone described it as looking like a model boat and i would endorse that view. There are far better boats so keep on looking.
Wife quite likes it, and we were talking about changing shortly to power, getting to old for sails.
Have to have a trip to Kidderminster for a nose, and time to show my face again, chase some more order to pay for one.
Well,I think it looks rather nice.Plain simple lines a vast improvement on the very fussy detailing of previous craft especially of this builder and many others as well.
Attempts to make a smaller boat look bigger in order to acheive better "perceived value" have merely made many smaller craft over ornate and fussy.Suspect that buyers in this price bracket will like this boat and buy it in droves ,while the purchasers of larger more expensive craft can still continue to buy on the premise of the more bling bling the better,if only to reassure themselves that their money has bought them a suitably impressive enough look at me toy to go with the top of the range Rolex*. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
A very similar device for telling the time can be found at your local petrol staion priced at 1.99 just in case the rolex shop has sold out.
Its interesting to note the intolerance of Sealine owners to critisism of the marque; I wonder why this can be?
[/ QUOTE ]
Not so much a critisism, as a total slagging. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Even Oldgit, who's not a great Sealine fan, had at least something nice to say /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Well I dont slag off Sealines 'coz I've owned 3 of them and 2 out of 3 were good boats but this is a total plastic pig. The hard top is so out of proportion with the hull its laughable and it's angled wrong as well. And what about all that weight up top on such a small hull not to mention the windage with the screens up? Should have 'interesting' handling
There are some good looking hard top boats in this size range and the SC29 is'nt one of them
no real opinions on the design shape etc etc of the boat , its sooo subjective and leads to arguments but have to say that this one and the other one Powerskipper put up a few weeks ago do seem small for their badging and look a bit 'lighweight', but may well be great boats
Can i point out guys that she has a sliding roof that runs from behind the windscreen to the radar arch that in effect makes her a sports or a hard top., so she is not top heavy as such.
you can see on this pic.
Saw that but its still a substantial and ugly framework which, IMHO, does nothing for the aesthetics or weight distribution
Very interested to hear your test report. Will eat humble pie if necessary
