Nice piece on BBC South Today just now, showing the team on a Scorpion rib arriving back at Haven Quay in Lymington, after breaking the record by 30 hours. Total time 72 hrs. (Hot Lemon II was visible in the background too!, good advert for Scorpion!)

This would have been absolutely smashed by that thing that was averaging 50+knts before it hit an object in the water off the Scottish coast the other day, so don't expect this record to last for long.

You are refering to Seahound breaking of Alan Priddys record which was broken already this year.

Good to see Jan still getting involved in the long distance racing scene.

The Blade was going for "Round Britain" record which is shorter than Chris's trip. The time to beat there was 31 hours, set my Mr F Buzi a few years back.

So if they had made it we'd have two world records set.
