new river thames app

I noticed last night that there is a new app for the Ipad / Iphone based on the river thames. It is called the river thames guide, and is made by Val Wyatt and is a free app. It has an interactive map, which shows lock info, bridge heights, river conditions, moorings etc.

It is a bit basic but nether the less, it is a good start as I think it is the only non tidal relevant app available.

I downloaded it on my iPhone. It is helpful, my only gripe so far is when I click on lock details part of it is missing on the iPhone screen. Unfortunately this includes the phone numbers. I hope they tweak it a bit to fit properly, as I can see this being a great help.

The lock details can be scrolled to see all info (including phone number) - the iPhone screen is too small to display all in one go but the app also works on the iPad and iPad mini,,,
