New Restaurant

Just to let all the visitors to Victoria Marina in St. Peter Port know that Berties Landing, the restaurant on the southern side of the marina has been taken over and is now called Saltwater Restaurant.

They have a website where you can see the menu and their is all sorts of other bits on it too.

I am going tonight so will let you know what I think.

Auberge

Last year on a quick stop in Gern-sea I went for dinner at a Rest't called Auberge, absolutely excellent and incredbile view, is a bus ride out of St PP, only trouble was bloody expensive.

Recommend it to anyone.

Never eat Frogs legs again Haydn. Due to their popularity they now need huge quantities so they are now shipped in from India. There ladies sit around a barrel of Frogs ripping the legs off live Frogs casting the still living bodies aside. I used to eat them... never again.

It also seems a little expensive to me, especially the wine, but there again, I'm used to foriegn prices!

Moules to start with which were the best I have had ever and steak diane to follow abs perfect with spotted dick and custard after.

Partner of my firm who paid the bill was shocked at how low the bill was esp in comparison to London prices.

If you look at the site you will notice some other links esp 'tender to' which will be a bar / sandwich area, really handy for the marina area. oh and for the cheapskates there is Burger King 3 mis walk but their chips arent potatoes!

I am told they are trying to secure the use of the landing platform for boaters so you can have access at all states of tide.
