New Raymarine E-Series Widescreen

Looks interesting: especially the Jeppesen charts. I just hope the company survives long enough to launch it.

I remained to be convinced that touch screens will last at sea. Bad enough keeping the buttons going

It remains to be seen what technology they've used, but the screens on iPod Touch and iPhone are reasonably rugged (as in I haven't managed to break it yet). I don't see why a touch screen with no moving parts should be less reliable than buttons.
