new propellor pitch for 15 hp yamaha pushing heavy fat 15 foot open boat???

i have asked this question before after my wife put a few dings in my prop---in the end filed the prop smooth and carried on using it---i know the kids will be struggling as usual to find me a xmas present so probably time for a new prop--- i now have more imformation to help with pitch choice----------------4 stroke 15 hp max revs 5000--- good cruising speed 6 mph at 3000 revs----full throttle 5000 revs digs the arse in for 7 mph--- obviously not worth the extra revs---so basically i am look ing for a prop that performs well at 3000revs----at the moment the prop is 9 1/4 diam x 10---alternatives are 9 1/4 by 8 9 11 or 12-----i was thinking because of the lower optimum speed i would go for the 11---------------------any thoughts please

Yep, I agree, if it is hitting the 5000rpm with the 9.25x10 but you don't want to do the arse-digging thing I would go to 11P
