Looks like my propeller has been damaged. The outboard engine is a suzuki 150.
Can I just buy a replacement from say amazon for £60 or so, or is there some big reason why a prop has to be perfectly uniquely matched to the precise manufacturer/model/year?
Are small damages to the prop fixable or is it easier to just replace it? I mean it still works fine.
If I do a search online the prices go from around £60 to around £1k.
Thanks

I suspect that the existing prop is repairable but is does depend upon damage. If the prop fits onto a splined shaft it possibly has a rubber bush in the prop to give protection to the engine. The bush can be replaced but it is expensive when combined with a repair.

Picture of the prop showing the damage plus where the shaft goes in it, allows much better advice.

I have a 'tweaked' 4hp four stroke Suzuki outboard for the tender. Last year at anything over half throttle the prop slipped. A new Suzuki one was too expensive. Temu got me a replacement for 12 quid.

The rubber bushing had become loose.
