Will be at Southampton. Sadly I see nothing ground breaking but it does look nice, though really an updated 42. Was hopeful for an entry level full beam owners or maybe a third bunk cabin option but alas, for me anyway, princess seem to have played it safe

Yep, agree all that. Be interesting to see the revised fly layout, it was a weak point on the 42. The ext render appears to show a hi-lo platform as well - which is nice [/fastshow].

Cheers
Jimmy

As a 42 owner, I too was looking forward to the arrival of a new model below the 50 foot range and dident really think they would go down to the 42 revamp yet. Anyway well spotted Whightlighter.

First impressions of the layout is they may have tried to get more width in the main cabin, but the galley looks much the same. Sure there will be a host of minor improvements but will it be enough to get me to part with my hard earnt cash? as I scream that I must have all the mods!!!not really sure, because I want just a bit more ie size wise as per Fairlines new 48 fly.

Does one detect the very faintest suggestion of a Sealine very open plan influence in there.
Looks very nice and got to be worth every penny of £250K.

New Princess 43 - lighter, faster, sleeker....better? ......cheaper ?
Got to be cheaper than previous model, virtually every thing else produced is ...including most hand build cars !

What you mean is inflation has gone from the uk???
But I suspect that these new resin infused hulls are actually cheaper to produce

I suspect you're out by a factor of two sadly :(

Yep, a very safe style to the boat, but will possibly age quite quickly. The hull windows in particular are disappointing imho. Lots which can be done with these to modernise the style. However, as JFM has shown, these can be quite easily changed in the mould.

This new Princess does bring nothing new to the table, seems a heritage of the brand though. Altough since new owners took over we have seen Princess a bit more trendy....

Sealine influence, lol that saloon layout existed since the dawn of ages... ah yes may be for you Sealine invented the first flybridge saloon ;)

Anyways just not to go much far away in size IMO the Prestige 450 has a pretty innovative layout albeit powered by IPS, so I guess Princess could be inspired by that if they wanted to bring something fresh.

Resin Infusion does not make interiors much bigger, what they do save is a bit of weight here and there, when compared to GRP only weight but not so much in total in my understanding....

As a starting point I don't think the 42 was broken so no need for a radical re-invention.

If I was a gambling man I'd have a tenner each way on something twixt the 43 and 52. IPS powered 48 foot long and with a full beam owners cabin.

I'm not sure I agree with the out of date soon comment. Surely. Evolution rather than radical revolution prevents this. This years "striking" design is next years old model.

Boats are not mobile phone covers.

Henry :)

Just need Portofino now to pitch up and proclaim a Sunseeker would be better

That wasn't what I was saying, I was simply agreeing with OG that it seems like there is a bit of sealine influence. In hindsight the pic I posted isn't a very good example of the point. I think sealine have been pretty innovative in terms of styling and to me (of course, only IMHO) the princess has more than a hint of Sealine type style.

True but it goes back best part of 20 years when Princess decided to adopt Sealine design and production philosophy, and made a good job of it, I know, I was there.

windows are nice making it bright and open feelig, the styling modern and fresh without being "over designed" but the saloon looks smaller than my 390 - AND i have an aft double with en suite facilities. Progress eh?

I know many of these boats won't be out in any rough weather with their owners but surely those ceiling grab handles (on the Sealine) are a really good idea in an open plan design? getting from the sofa to the head looks like you may end up crawling?

" albeit powered by IPS"

Blimey ....are they still trying to foist this future money pit on the unsuspecting boating public.:)

Just picked up on this!!! not according to Princess, they claim that using resin infushion they dont have the same size stringers etc etc that allows them to site engines etc down lower and creat more space throughout the boat.
