Here's a bit of news for anyone planning a West Cork cruise this summer:

https://afloat.ie/marine-environment/coastal-notes/item/37812-cape-clear-harbour-pontoons-in-place-new-facility-for-west-cork-coast"

They don't state, however, what minimum depth of water is available. Perhaps it's in this year's Reed's

How much water was there before the installation?, was any dredging done?

Can't answer either of those questions, but found a lengthy presentation on the installation of the storm gates on the website of the company involved, L&S Keating, which seemed to show soundings of 2.6m in the basin where the pontoons are located.

Just had a look at this year's Reeds; the entry is not up to date. It mentions the installation of the storm gates and that further improvements are intended. It does indicate that 1.5m could be found inside Duffy's Pier, and they wouldn't have installed pontoons without dredging first, we will have to await Reed's updates.
