New old bar to open in Gib.

Some may remember 'The Ship' in Marina Bay, run by the sadly departed George, a friend to all passing yachties.

After a looong refurb and wait, will be opening again 1st December, run by former staff Chris.

Happy for me that my fave bar is back!

Bit of an advert but I write as a punter, not an interested party.

Although Im sure there will be some interesting parties!!

When last in Gib the popular wets were JC's.

Can you still walk through the tunnel to Catalan Bay do you know ?

Not sure about tunnel, we are in Marina Bay so its a 15 min walk down Devils Tower Road.

Wife has never been to Gib so I was thinking about taking her through the tunnel.

Was thinking of entering her in the Rock Race but she might find long lost friends when she gets to the top

(she doesn't come on here btw lol)

Cable car is good but expensive and to Gibs shame, litter strewn at the top. Sad.

I presume Gib survives on tourism these days so litter will be a by-product. Shame they don't pick it up.

Wife will no doubt use the cable car, but not for me after my experiences going up Table Mountain many a year ago
