New Navman 5500i not reading c-map

I recently purchased a Navman 5500i from the States. Have fitted it and works OK on the integral worldwide map, but fails to respond to the NT+Wide catridge I have just purchased.

Have checked the card in a friends plotter, seems OK.

Any suggestions? Will I have to return the plotter to the US for repair/replacement?

It sounds obvious, but have you really pushed the card in as far as it will go. The rubber seals on mine sometimes stop the card going in far enough and it neeeds an extra push.

I also purchased a 5500 from the USA, and it had a software fault on it. I emailed Navman in New Zealand, and was told to send it to Navimo (Plastimo) who are the agents in the UK for the worldwide warranty. I sent it to Navimo, and it was returned a few days later with the software upgrade.

Contact Navimo, and see what they say.
