What's the point in spending almost 1 mio € per meter in your brand new fast superyacht, if you can't moore it equally fast?...

No, it isn't. Named "Tin Tin", apparently just being launched this afternoon in Varazze.
Other details and pics here (in Italian though).

Everybody is subject to a certain amount of journalistic license I suppose - for instance, I am intrigued by the statement made in the first link you posted above, re the accommodation for '10 guests and 30 crewmen' - I wonder where they stash all the crew???

LOL... You're sure right!
In a couple of cases where I had first hand information about boating incidents, I always read quite unrealistic reports in the press...
In this specific case, just looking at the pics, I tend to believe that it was pushed on the dock by its own props.
Can't imagine how they could be launching the boat in such position.

The witness marks on the bow indicate to me that she struck and rode up onto the pontoon, and not that she was lowered onto it.

I see there is a chef trying to hold the bow out of the water or from dropping any further - that must hurt his shoulder I would have thought - do you think he is the skipper - and trying to prevent more damage!!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
