New marina in Cowes

Went to Cowes this weekened, and was suprised to see Shepherds wharf moorings being turned into a new marina. Apparently It will have flats built overlooking it (this pays for the cost of building the marina). It will be owned by Cowes harbour authority, I am pleased to see a new player in the marina game . I think between "MDL" and" Premier" they seem to have the south coast sewn up.I hope its visitors fees are cheaper than those other two I paid £28.50 for an overnight stay(10.5 meters) at East Cowes marina on Saturday night. God knows have much Dolphin haven in Poole will be this year. Whats the highest any one has paid per meter on the south coast?

We were at East Cowes on A pontoon Sat night. Kept awake by the Sea Cadet "ship" with its generator on all night!! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Salterns in Pool wanted £29.00 for an overnight easter sunday, then added the harbour dues!!!! £35 for a nights stay - next time I'll go on the quay.
