Hi.

Can anyone guide me as to how to fix a new Jabsco regular to the existing floor of a Westerly Pageant please.

I'm forced to replace the original SL400 as it's cream crackered.

My concern is how the bowl base is fixed to the GRP plinth. There doesn't appear to be any facility to get under the plinth as it's sealed and I'm guessing the Jabsco should be bolted.

I think that there may be a layer of ply under the plinth so possibly I might get away with hex screwing the Jabsco base into it but this is just what I've heard. Does anyone know if this is correct or if there's a method to be able to fix the new Jabsco successfully?

Many thanks.

I replaced some after-market vacuflushes with jabscos in my oceanlord. I believe jabscos must have originally been there because old bolt holes lined up perfectly.

Bottom line: yes. Just screwed in. In my case there's pretty thick ply in the plinth so perhaps yours will not be dissimilar.

If it's anything like my old Jouster (and I think it will be) there is a sheet of 1/2" ply in the plinth, so you can easily and safely screw to it. Original fitment would have been a Raritan Compact II - I have one which you are welcome to for the cost of postage. I'll even throw in a full service kit.

Can you cut an access hole in the front of the plinth. Just large enough to get a hand in. Cut a panel to cover the hole when the new loo is fitted.
Thats how the fixings of the Lavac are accessed on the Berwick

JumbleDuck - Very kind of you thanks. I'll pass this time round as I've ordered done a deal on the Jabsco.

Hi Vic - Yes I was thinking the same. If all else fails I think there's enough room to do this. Thanks.
