Where can you find an intercooler for a 250hp Ford diesel please?

It's no longer a Ford part. Casting paterns bought by Mermaids when Ford stopped making them. Now the only source for them is Mermaid's even if it's for road use. Best news Mermaid price £300 CHEAPER than final Ford price.

Dunno if you want "original at any price" or "cheapest possible". If you want cheapest, ANY intercooler will do if the right spec. It doesn't have to be original. Intercoolers are about as technically complex as a £25 domestic radiator from B+Q. As long as it has similar airflow at a given pressure delta, and similar BTU/hour/centigrade rating, it will work. Obviously you might have to mess with the rubber inlet/outlet hoses and jubilee clips etc. But you can fit one off a DAF truck or suchlike, whatever is cheapest
