I bought a new Honwave T38 IE3 latest model. I am going to use it without trailer, thats the plan, so found the 10HP honda too heavy for me so went with the Honda 6hp.
that should be plently enough as mostly it will be me and my small dog in it.

any tips for setting up and launching? I have a commercial landcrusier so loads of space, but it can be a little awkward due to the height. ( lifting in the boat in the bag)

I am trying to decide between a colapsable launch trolley or launching wheels. any advice? most use will be solo use.

yeah i used a sack trolley to get it from the car to the shed. launching on a river bank / concrete slip at a lake, was thinking of getting the Suprod TR350L launching trolley to get it to the water. i got the shark 3 electric pump to make things easier. ( havent tried it yet.)

Thats a big SIB for one man and a small dog. I've got a pair of these https://www.marinesuperstore.com/te...s/seago-compact-heavy-duty-dinghy-wheels-pair or this type anyway, on a 3.2m SIB and it's essential if single handing that size. Must be better than a trolley, Only down side is the number of times i'd motored off with them still down. If ever going to be pulling on sand you need this width and diameter of wheel IMO. Mine are aluminium, seem strong enough and no doubt lighter than stainless as these are. One thing was there are some stainless dowels where the legs locked down on, one fell out so i removed all 4, threaded the holes and swapped for suitable bolts to do the job. Might not happen with the stainless ones.

Honwave sib are very heavy. afraid the 6hp will do nowt, for the ie you have you need min 10/ 15hp pref 20hp. you can get some launching wheels (inflatable not plastic), but your best option is a trailer.

there are videos of it planing on youtube with a 6hp. i am not really after speed anyways. i have used a 5hp on a 19ft lakeboat before, and if the honwave goes faster that it with the 6hp, then i will be happy. the reason i went with this setup is portability, i can put boat and engine in the back of the landcrusier and not worry about a trailer when going across country on a 3hr drive.

its a good sized boat. I bought the SUPROD TR350L foldable launching trolley to make things easier when launching.

Great, sounds like a win! How did you find managing the weight, did the trolley work ok?

the boat trolley is ordered but has not arrived yet, so went to a local slip way and reversed the landcruiser down, and lifted out the boat onto a sack trolley and moved it closer to the water. then inflated it with the shark 3 pump very quickly ( it would be too much hassle to inflate manually) tide was rising so when i was ready to go just needed a gentle push out.

its a very light boat, compared to one with an ALU floor. the weight was managable.

very happy with the performance of the 6hp Honda, this is my first air floor inflatable and compared to previous ones i had, (Zodiac with ALU floor) this one seems more affected by wind than the ALU floor ones, drifts quicker
