New GPS areal raymarine or evermore

My plotter is still showing no fix so I have removed the areal and plan to buy a replacement although I'm not sure what the problem is I checked the internal battery and it was showing 3 volts is there a way of testing the areal has anyone replaced there's with the evermore areal from eBay they are a lot cheaper but are they any good

My Evermore works perfectly well with my Raymarine instruments. It was very easy to fit with very good instructions. I was concerned that I got the right one, nmea or sea talk but the supplier was very patient in explaining everything. I cannot find his details but he was the South Wales supplier.
