Right time to spend some more money... Boat Safety Scheme time coming and I don't think they will like the 50 gallon poly barrell that does duty as fuel tank... and will like even less how its filled -- lift pilot ouse seat and pout fiel into 2 inch opening on the top... not keen on that myself.

So the options are custom made -- if so what material.

Ready mades -- which supplier?

The tanks will mount down in teh engine room. There is a fair bit of room. I am thinking about a pair around the 40 gallon each size.

Boat's in London. Any suggestions?

As well as Tek-Tanks, you could also try VETUS, who also do plastic fuel tanks of various sizes.

Just had one made at Gamart Engineering in Tollesbury (Essex) Stainless steel, made to measure including bottom drain as advised by forum members from a previous post. Excellent service from Martin there. Two weeks from order to supply. Tank is approx 40 gallons / two baffles / inspection hatch. Let me know if you want their number, much better quality than the old one.

I had an odd-shaped plastic (polythene I think) water tank made by Tek-Tanks from drawings that I supplied. It cost about £200 and fitted perfectly. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I also have a rectangular stainless tank (about 14 gallons I think) which used to be my water tank, in good condition if anyone's interested.
