New Environment Minister

Margaret Becket was a touring caravan enthusiast, what a shame we can't have a minister with an interest in the Thames, let alone boating. I hope he gets bored and brings in CART before he gets sacked.

Or throwing out the bowl with the Bathwater.

A climate denier from the Oaf skool of Trump Towers.
Knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.

On more important matters now have working bog. Pumped out but refused to suck in water.
After some considerable ponderations about the dire state of OGs finances at the moment.
The following was considered........
A Hard Textit. Brand new electric bog. Going to cost a fortune
A Semi hard. Textit. New manual bog. Going to mean lots of work for not much.
A Semi soft Textit. A complete new pump system...and the problem might still be there.
A Soft Textit. Over haul kit. See above.
A Remainers Reality Fix. Whip the six screws off the top. Poke around for bit. Scrape a bit of crusty accretion from the funny little lump of brass the size of a tap washer stopping things from working...and bung it all back together.
and ............Hey presto.

Walked up the pontoon today and noted two boats were changing their sanitory equipment.
Wonder if it was because of 5p bit of metal. :)

Ridiculous to even think that one minister could keep an eye on that many important areas.
An indication of the importance that this particular administration places on our guardianship of the natural world. ?
A result of several individual government authorities being culled to save a few quid no doubt, still the public get what the public wants.
The air quality fiasco in cities being classic example and as for the outrageous EU demand of clean air we can breathe, .....good job we left innit :)
