I was looking for a new gas cooker and we wanted the Smev Moonlight. Prices all over the place on the net because it's last year's model on specials, new model is £550 but our local chandlery had an old model on special for £449. These guys did the same one for £350, delivery was 48 hours, well packed, new and great communications by email. They seem to clear discontinued lines and I'll be checking them first for stuff I need:

Oddly, they seem to have the same address as Marine Mega Store:

Marine Mega Store Ltd
Coopies Way
Coopies Lane Industrial Estate
Morpeth

Is that just a co-incidence do you think?

Oh ****. Sorry guys I fell for it. What do I do if I need to return it? At least I paid by PayPal.

Clearly there is one born every minute, and this was my minute.

They were very quick and friendly by email and it arrived within 48 hours in perfect condition. Maybe it's their way of turning over a new leaf?

Be aware that if you have the Moonlight model with the plastic / metal knobs. The knobs get too hot to touch if you use the grill, even with the (joke of a) heat guard pulled out. We didn't find out till after we had fitted it (obviously). They get so hot that I blistered my finger on one! I even tried a piece of heat resistant board on top of the guard in vain. After a long drawn out correspondence with Dometic and trials of different knobs, none of which fitted properly, we returned it and got a re-fund. We bought a different Smev with the knobs at the side of the oven. This one http://marinestore.co.uk/Dometic_Smev_CU335GTM_Oven_Grill___3_Burner_Hob.html which is excellent
Sorry to pour cold water on your purchase but that's what you will need for your fingers if you fit it I have posted warnings about this a couple of times in the past.

It's OK, I spotted that design flaw, especially the pan clamps on the back so you have to reach over. I chose the Moonlight model with the pan clamps on the side.

And the shiny metal knobs above the rising heat from the grill, your decision but don't say you weren't warned. I noticed at SIBS that Dometic have abandoned the metal knobs for plain plastic in the latest version of the Moonlight.
