Hi All

I have decided that the 4 cushions that make up the "V" berth seats / bedding in my Sealine require new covers.

The foam etc is fine, i just want the material over the foam replaced.

despite google, etc i cannot find anything that doesnt require me driving 200+ miles to drop them off to even get a quote!

Has anyone had and re-covering done?

Who do you recommend etc etc

Many thanks

John

Sorry all,

My coat is in Cambridgeshire, but i travel in the South of England alot, so i am looking for some i can either ship cushions to or drop off and have shipped back.

I did try my local upholsters, but they dont have the same material as marine upholster's and cost per meter is quite expensive £40/meter cheapest so far!

Kilter...........is eastcoastbernie a recomendation? sorry but i dont get the "of these fora" part of the message???? probably me being thick:rolleyes:

contact info would be most welcome

thanks all

John

just getting mine replaced including foam, material and button holes. 9 pieces in all for £850 but i do no the guy!
he's in doncaster syorks let me know if you want his number.run's is own upholstery business.

Don't go to a marine upholsterer at all.

I had a boat fully retrimmed once, cabin and cockpit. Marine trimmer quoted £2500 + VAT

Local Caravan trimmer did it for £450 all in - used marine materials, but he charges £15 per hour - the marine guy charged £35 per hour and was clearly planning to spend a lot more hours on it.

The end result was lovely and lasted years.
