New colours on Admiralty Charts

Splashed out a bit this week to get some nice new charts for a cruise round to Cadiz next week.

Its the first time I've seen them with the light colours on the chart rather than our old friend, the magenta blob!

Also has the colours of sectored lighthouses marked (like Imray) and looks much easier to use.

There was an article in Practical Monthly, whatever, that disagreed with your point because the depth contours are no longer shaded to show the shallowing water. IIRC everything in shallow water <10m is blue up to the green bits now. There was much ado about the magenta ticks as well. I must admit that I have not seen the new style of coloured charts but I didn't think it was that much of an issue, to be honest.

The ones Ive got have the shading. The dark blue is maybe a bit darker. Im happy!
