new buoyage. hooray!

Trinity house removed Hauxley and Pan Bush buoys (off Amble, Northumberland) around 15yrs ago.

Today a TH vessel was seen to be re-laying these buoys.

Those who sail this area will want to amend their charts. I dunno their exact positions yet. Any ideas?

not hooray - trinity house website indicate plans to discontinue farne lighthouse and modify coquet - amongst others. The report states the Pan Bush will be marked with a l/b if the coquet light management is reduced.... all by 2010.... looks like they could be starting with the coquet light!

just think of all those poor souls who will have to buy new electronic charts showing these new threats to navigation.............

I'm not sure disaster - yet.

Consider, we will have a reduced power Coquet LH and no sound signal. We gain two state-of-the-art local buoys.

I cannot say that I've ever relied upon a sound signal for my navigation.
