A survey of the area is underway for the UKHO. Will be quite a few chart corrections coming up!

The only hazard to us is the buoy itself Andy.It is marking a wreck with 7m over it.

The blue and yellow buoys are temporary markers brought in to service after the Tricolour fiasco where a ship sank in the Dover Straights and despite a guard vessel being stationed other ships ploughed into it before it could be marked properly.

Heard someone comment that the alternating blue and yellow flashing light looks like an RAC van towing a police car in the dark :-)
