I have a new book out on Kindle.
It is the first of a trilogy describing the voyages of the British registered yacht 'Direction', a self built 45 foot cutter, from San Francisco to Whitby and back again.
The title is 'Pineapple Chunks With Sardines', which was the menu for breakfast at dawn during a force-eleven gale in the Bay of Biscay on the eighteenth of January 1988. The menu was random because only my wife Shirley, who was off watch and asleep, knew the code marked on the unlabeled cans. In the euphoria of recovery from seasickness, I ate it with relish.
