When do I get my test ride? :), hope that passerelle of yours will lift that 40hp lump.

Very nice machine. That's the efi version of the Yam40, 2009 onwards, which is a very nice motor (I had one). The boat is also top stuff, and the Avon/Zodiac trick of taking the planing surface aft of the transom with a cut out for the engine leg makes for much better handling and less bow lift as it rises onto the plane. (It's a mod I want to do to my novurania one of these days). All in all a very nice rig.

You will be right on your sq52 passerelle weight limit with that - good luck, and maybe don't extend it fully when you lift. The metalwork of the passerelle wont break but the cylinder might fail to lift it (due to pressure relief valve). Good luck on that score!

Are you keeping the trailer or selling it? 4 weeks ago I'd have bought it but I just bought one new, for moving my RIB around

Thanks for all the complements,

Chris your always welcome to pull along side anytime passing,

SD yes that sounds good,as long as your not planning on using your new rib :)

JFM. Think I may have got the total combined weight wrong, :( ah well shall no next week, was more concerned about how it would fit on the back, when we were looking into changing , the avon 360 DL is shown on the back of a 52, We were also looking at the Brig eagle,
Ref trailer, we have two now :) will keep one, and stick the avon on the other and sell them together.

Looking forward to trying it out.

Yeah but iirc that Avon brochure shot had a 360DL on a Sq52 without any passerelle. They must have craned it on for the photoshoot or something.

Still, your new machine probably isn't much different weight wise than the 320 jet, so you should be ok with a bit of luck. Don't fill it with too much clobber! And buy an uber light battery if you have to lose 10kg

With all the recent issues relating to power boat racing I can see a gap in the market.

I hereby claim rights to the Cowes - Folly - Cowes International powerboat festival championship classic.

Rather than the Express newspaper group I shall be approaching Viz magazine for sponsorship.

My 8hp Yamaha will have to compete in class 2 rather than class 1 although with the tiller extension I do get up on the plane surprisingly easily. If I can get Emily trained up our power to weight ratio improves dramatically. Our 8hp and Emily must be about the same as Roy and his 200hp.......

Ps .....I thought it was akshually 300hp......

He keeps it under a tea cosy so no one knows how much power he needs to keep him moving forward :)

I can confirm it's bloody quick when you only have athletes such as our fine family on board ! All Mrs HenryF could so was scream slow down :)
