Hi Forumites,

After many months of searching, having sold our beloved Grand Banks 36 in the winter of '09/10, and endless trips to far-flung marinas viewing lots of either rubbish or overpriced boats, we've finally just completed on our next boat - an Aqua-Star 45. Picture attached below (if I've mastered the technology correctly!). Sorry the picture's not the best - just a phone shot from the marina when we sea-trialled. Looking forward to our first trip (but sadly not for a week or so) as we bravely step forward, cheque book in hand, to the world of boat ownership once more...

Hi Gavin

You are right, picture is not the best...:D... well its not there and that's a shame as an Aqua-star 45 is right up there on my list of truly great boats. Superb choice, hope you have many good years in her... Oh, and hope you get to grips with adding pictures as I would love to see it!

Well done, Gavin. An excellent boat. Now all we need is some better photos of outside and in plus a promise of future cruise reports!

New Boat!

Hi All,

Thanks for your comments. Eventually she will be based in Chichester but currently she's in the West Country, so we plan to cruise her round the West Country for most of August - hopefully if the weather's OK we can get out to the Scilly Islands and thinking about round Lands End to Padstow. Engines are twin Cat 3126's - 670 odd hours, lightly used for the past couple of years but started fine and ran smoothly on the seatrial and engine inspection report and oil samples all OK. Will post more pics and reports in due course...

Fair play
You have gone from one proper boat to another.
Good Luck and many happy cruising hours, nice:)

Lovely boats, good choice, bet you enjoy your time with her.

Seconded on liking to see more pictures and a write-up of the cruise and delivery trip back to Chichester.
