New Boat Decision

One advantage with outdrives and diesels is that there is weight in the right place - low down.
Also there is usually more of a bathing platform.

But for sub-35ft boats used in moderate conditions, outboards have come a long way, requiring less maintenance and they are a lot more reliable than they used to be.

Well, I bought a 6.5m ll diesel powered boat, mainly on account for diesel being vastly cheaper here, and for ease of diy maintenance and reliability.

But then it's an old fashioned direct injection turbodiesel.
No complicated electronics, no additives. Just a diesel as it's meant to be.

Not less maintenance than a single diesel shaft drive. That would be my choice.
