OK so I will admit that SWMBO had a lot of input as it was her idea in the first place.
The big must have was seperate heads.....
So as of today we now own a Snapdragon 747 which is out of the water at Mersea. The next project is to see which supplier comes back with a mooring for 2009, we have applied to various places but Bradwell Marina is top of our list provided they have room. I feel it needs to be a marina despite my yearning for a swinging mooring as it is my first year back on the salty water and there are a few bits to do to get the boat 100%.

Look forward to meeting some of you next year.

Hi Julian
Good to hear you're firmly in the fixup club /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Good luck with the mooring hunt, I think we were lucky in that we turned up one day on the boat, asked the owner if he had room and within minutes we were allocated a permanent berth. It was fun getting onto it for the first time but practice makes perfect /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Snappy 747 is a lovely boat. A well laid out interior and a boat that sails well. Built just after the 'brickhouse' technique so not too heavy but before they got all flimsy (like mine). If it helps, Tollesbury is a lot cheaper but not the nearly all-tide access of Bradwell; there is a nice chandlers on site and the journey would be less from Herts.

I've always thought Snapdragons are were well made boats. I think you will have a lot of fun and I look forward to seeing you off the Island.

Just ask if there are Mersea questions you need answering

Yep, now is the time to apply at Bradwell. Good luck with it. I am sure in the currebt climate they will do everything to fit you in.

Applications are in to several places. I have had one definite offer but its not really where we want to be so we are hanging fire until the end of January when Bradwell send out their offers. If no luck then we will take up the other one.

Thanks all for the wishes and look forward to next year

Julian
