new 2 stroke outboards at cheap prices!!

This one is also described accurately:

"Terrific machine for those exceptional days. With it's stunning looks and sturdy design this Outboard Motor will get you moving

Well the looks speak for themselves. A real headturner and recipe for fun on the water for young and old alike"

I suppose the 'looks speak for themselves' and the 'headturner' bits may be right!

I was going to post the picture but since this chap is such a firm believer in the law (see his 'other details' section) that I thought it unfair to infringe his copyright.

Can anybody work out where the pictures were taken? This would be a very challenging 'Where is it' thread.

I also was intrigued when I saw this on ebay and asked a few questions:- who is the maker? Who can service it and supply spare parts? Did he know that small 2 strokes will be outlawed very soon in the EU? etc etc. surprisingly he replied but without any details as I requested. Buyer beware!

Re: Cut through the feedback crap here...

He appears in reflection in the 3rd shot down.

He's displaying this

on the page,

Is this an eBay verification, or something spurious?

I think that ring is meant to divert weed and rope away from the prop hub. The slots will allow a certain amount of flow to reduce the risk of cavitation.
Probably doesn't work very well though.

Is that a jetski but before jets were invented? That would make it a propski.

Brilliant!

Presumably, if the tubes lose a bit of air and become floppy, the propeller will slice through the floor and your feet at the same time? /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

It looked Chinese to me so did a quick search for Chinese outboard makers.

I am also generally interested in how the Chinese are moving into areas of manufacturing that are more specialised. In the early days the Japanese copied Western designs and technology, often not well, but used it as a basis for developing their own expertise to the point where they achieved leadership in innovation in many areas. The Chinese will do exactly the same thing before they start to genuinely respect the intelectual rights of others.

The World is going to be a very different place in 15yrs time and the so called developed countries have some enormous challenges ahead. Our children's futures are not going to look anything like our own when we were their age.
