I am clearly off my trolley and urgently need my head examined as i have agreed to join an experimental navigational exercise somewhere near the Arctic Circle. Any suggestions gratefully received.

I would think that the true currency of the North being Single Malt,a couple of extras stashed away might come in very handy when it come to negotiating the days of shipbound inclement weather..And a dry suit p'raps?

Excellent suggestion, but sadly company rules are dry ship!

I do have a good dry suit, but hate wearing it for lengthy periods

ladies tights - invaluable, weightless, warming, cheap, and on gents - oh so sexy!

Ex-partner (male) and I used them on an Antarctic trip - extra layer, no extra problems.

Can I join in too?

i huv a ticket fer ra forward starboard side berth without porthole? closest to door so most orra morning cup o' tea served by the cruise lascar arrives in the cup an' nae in ra saucer. port side is wee willie winkie's. thur's an extractor oer his bunk and eet does ra most work .. !!

That can't be the same cruise liner as the one I've booked.

I spoke to someone this morning they promised that they only tolerate the highest culinary standards, and that the skipper works the crew without mercy.

It sounds fabulous.
