i am wanting to put some netting up in front of the book shelves in the boat so that stuff does not fall on the new baby I am planning to put in the saloon

problem is I do not have a clue where to get this from so that it will look any good - am hoping to have netting between two bits of elastic with the elastic on hooks at either end

does anyone know what sort of shop you go to to get nets and elastic to do the job

any help gratefully received

I know that they have it in Kip chandlery.

What about garden centres - although it might be covered green....

cheers for the pointers - making my own may be a bit beyond me for now but will go to the places suggested - did not have a clue even where to start but do now

I recently posted a net container from IKEA catalogued as a CHILDENS TOY ORGANISER. It hangs in the wet locker and has 3 compartments and cost 99 pence. If I were you I would look at the bigger versions, cut it up and use a thin bungee cord. I did this once on my sea kayak by using a keepnet from a fishing tackle shop and it was fine.

and I thought I was the only one who thought Ikea was the best marine store going, following is a picture of the nets (red left) plus the cool pocket store (grey -left and right, about 3 quid) both from the kids section.
