Many boats have netting mini-hammocks fitted in the forecabin and elsewhere, to keep errant tools, gloves, hats, torches, vegetables - sometimes rugrats - in one known place. Very useful.

Chain store LIDL have them in stock, price £3.50, should any be needed. They seem quite robust, and capable of being slung in various ways.

After a few seasons they tend to get a bit droopy and start to break up.
I replaced ours with small sections of prawn trawler net, still there when
I sold the boat, they must have 8 years old and still very good.
