First time across the Channel coming up so cross your collective fingers for smooth seas and minimal winds at the start of next week. Wifi permitting should be able to keep in touch and set up some pictures. Sunbury-Thurrock YC-Ramsgate-Dunkerque-Nieuwpoort so wave if you see an ineptly handled and smoky Coronet.

Good luck Andrew - nerves dissappear once you depart I found. No shame in turning back either if you feel conditions worse than you expected.

Great feeling when you make it though /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif. Hope all goes well for you - that first beer in Nieuwpoort will taste extra special I am sure.

Good luck Andrew.

as said the nerves go once you depart, I probably know better than many. they are a healthy reminder though.

Looks like the weather gods may be with you as well. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Shall look forward to the stage reports.

It is free to Anchor just of the "Harty ferry" pub , great fishing at the mo (SeaBass)

A bit rough along the Kent coast on Sunday, short beam sea which wasn't comfortable for 3 hours or so. Now weatherbound in Ramsgate, sunny it maybe but the wind whstling though the yacht rigging is not promising. Still, there's WiFi and pubs...

Pix when I can get the camera to talk to the laptop.
