I have just become the proud owner of a Neptunian 33. I'd post a picture of her but she's looking a bit scruffy at the moment with masts down and flaky antifoul.
Here's what she'll look like next spring, with a bit of luck and hard work. Mine was originally named St Michel, but is now Sheolin of Clyde; and I'd love to know where the name Sheolin comes from.
There's very little on the web regarding this class of boat (most of it contained in these fora). No owners association I can find and no idea how many built.
Roll on next season!

Nice boat. There's one in my club, also a Neptune 33, which is the centre cockpit version. I always liked the look of them

Actually, isn't that the other way round?

According to SailboatData

No pics for the Neptune on SailboatData, but this from elsewhere for the Neptune

As for Sheolin:

The meaning of the given name Sheolin represents innovation, independence, determination, courage, sincerity and activity.

From memory (and I had a serious brain injury 2.5 years ago), so not guaranteed:

- I think the Neptune had the centre-cockpit (edit: my sub-conscious is now, just a few minutes later, screaming , "no! The Neptunian had the centre cockpit")
- built to Lloyds 100A1 (moulded by Tylers, fitted out by Shuttlewoods at Paglesham).

To me, they are very good looking boats, very much a mini Salar 40 (the bow, in particular, looks very Laurent Giles, though I think they were designed by Alan Buchanan).

Enjoy!

Our Neptunian (ketch), the Neptune was sloop rigged, has the sail number 79, so I guess there were a few built. Ours was built by Johnson Sons and Jago of Leigh-on-Sea. Lovely sailor, a bit of a madam in a marina.

Thank you .... I'd forgotten about the Johnson and Jago ones (so far away from here: almost a foreign land).
