No wind but very pleasant out here. Should be there in 20 min

I went to Nells Point, then when the tide changed went up past steepholm to Portishead. No wind but just wanted a day out in the boat, even if it was motoring

Not enough web cams in this area unfortunately but that one could be quite usefull.

That is useful.

The live weather station on Flatholm appears to be getting more unreliable.

Flatholm weather has been broken for a while. Shame as it is a good indicator of gusts in the channel.

There is one on the barrage but that is pretty sheltered.

There is a weather station at Mumbles Head, which feeds to the Met Office web site, Magic Seaweed, Windfinder etc. Not real time, but the data is updated every hour. Here is the Met Office site. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/...ad-swansea#?tab=last24hours&fcTime=1393891200

It is working OK now but is getting more intermittent.

It was very useful for the logging of gusts but it seemed that the highest winds were always in the early morning. Not sure if this was correct or just the way that the system worked.
