Need to borrow lifejacket URGENT Bristol

Hi All
I have committed myself to a crewing gig from turkey to UK, leaving Friday afternoon. My Spinlock is on our boat in France. Any chance of borrowing one in the Bristol area. you could get a KRU lifejacket & harness - with crotch straps - for around £45.00, or with light & spume visor around £90.00 - Piplers at Poole may be your nearest chandler - and they have a red hot mail order section - but Uphill at Weston Super Mare would be worth a try.

I can personally vouch that KRU is good kit, having been overboard with it ! Seems hard wearing too.


Don't forget you may need a harness line too, on boats I'm not used to especially I prefer a 3-point line, obviously with double action hooks.

Check with your intended airline as to whether they will allow you to bring one on the plane. Ryanair have a blanket negative policy, others may allow it at the discretion of the captain.

Force4 in Bristol docks is a bit closer

as you can see it's a while since I was in the area; whereabouts in the docks is Force 4 please ? A visit there might relieve lack of boat when I next visit my chum in Clifton !
