Having shredded the braided mooring lines that I use most commonly it is time to buy a new pair. I am med based so almost always stern-to. When visiting a marina in good weather, I simply use two lines off the stern that can be made into slips. If there is some wind, I add cross lines at the stern. My yacht is 20tons!
I have big fat lines with metal springs for when I leave the yacht and am not on-board
Looking at Jimmy Green there is little difference in price between 3 strand polyster, Moorex12 and the braided dock lines that I have currently.
So which should I get?? Does anyone have experience of Moorex12?
Of course, once I have chosen the type of line, I then have to see whether to buy in the UK or buy in Croatia!
Thanks
