Leaving Bray Friday and want to find suitable mooring between Hurley and Henley where we can sleep over and have a shower in the morning... Harleyford looks the obvious bet, but is it close enough to a nice Public House for supper and a Pint??

Is there anywhere in Henley??

Any other ideas would be really welcome... thank you.

I know its marginally downstream of Hurley, but you can overnight in Marlow and shower at the swimming pool next to the mooring. Good selection of pubs and restaurants too.

Yep.

And if you stay at Harleyford, pubs are not very close but the Showboat moored on the waters edge does a good meal.

The Showboat looks Fab, another great option! thanks for the heads up..

Higginson Park overnight too..That's great news... we can stay there, go for a swim ;-) in the morning... then head off upstream and try Henley on Saturday Night... I take it there are overnight moorings in Henley centre?? hope so..

Plenty of moorings in Henley at Mill Meadow. Upstream of the Bridge on left hand side. Fee payable from the car park ticket machines if working, otherwise park maintenance guys come round and ask for payment. Nice café in park does good breakfast. Toilets not to B1's liking but I'm told he is knitting his own toilet seat.:D

Right hand side sorry.

Have moored there for provisions over the years never seen a swimming pool next to moorings, where is it?

Hurley lock has some really nice moorings with an attached campsite with not bad showers .
Not sure if boaters are allowed to use them but it might be worth a call . Sorry forgot to ad that the pub ts the road the rising sun is under new ownership and had a good pint and menu looked good . Forget the Bell paid 7 pounds for a pork Pie once
