Get fed up trying to find the right page in the bound almanac and it closes as soon as you take your finger out? Or if you have the almanac in a ring folder the pages pull out and becomes unuseable?
Get a 'display folder' which is 20 clear pockets bound together and drop the whole Bristol Channel section in it, WH Smith etc have 20 and 40 page versions. The pages stay open, you have only got the section you are interested in and it is protected by the clear cover. The 20 page version is fine for most of the UK and it is easy enough to update the area you are in if you are lucky enough to get out of the Bristol Channel

Why would you ever want to leave the Bristol Channel? We've been gone 3 years and still miss the muddy water, that froth that forms in the locks, the wind over the tide on those special days........

It's the worst place to be, nor the best and Lundy withoiut the roll is stunning. It certainly has some challenging bits, would be nice if there were more places to go. Have got the new pilot for the area so may try some of the lesser visited spots till summer comes along and heading out to the green seas. Quite a few people tried to get out of the BC last year to spread their legs (as my friends wife said) and discover some new places but were beaten by the weather while up North it was fine.

Bristol Channel and Severn Cruising guide, by Imray so guess it's replaced the old version. This one goes from St Ives to Milford and the upper reaches of the Severn. Good colour pictures and updated information that make it all look inviting unlike the older pilot which was enough to make them all look dreary!

Ah, right. I'll keep me eye out. We'll be raring to go this coming year. Looks like I won't have a lot of work on, so I'll have to do some sailing to occupy my mind........
