Following the saga of my delayed diesel engine installation, I went up to the yard this morning ready to do battle with the engineers about the delay in re-engineing Solitaire. When I arrived the engine was swinging on the gantry, the transom shield was in, as were the instruments - they had forgotten to put the fuel guage in however, that's now being installed.
According the them my boat should be back on the water ready for the bank holiday, oh that the weather holds/forums/images/icons/smile.gif . The engineers assured me that all is going to plan and anyway they now wanted me off their back - I think I've been very restrained given that its taken them 2 months to do. Anyway, the saga is nearly over, I just hope the sea trial all goes to plan/forums/images/icons/wink.gif All I've got to do know is put new A/F on the stern.

The only tinkering to come will be the in and out of choosing props, mine are A5's down a bit from A6's as suggested due to river use. Boat weight wet was assumed at 2.25 tonnes.

Hope this pre-empts any hold ups.

Re the fuel gauge – this doesn’t come as part of the Volvo package – extra or reuse ols one like I did /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Hope it all goes well.

Peter

Peter - not having Volvo. It's a Yamaha engine and leg. Single prop and will have to do something here I think. As to the fuel guage, always knew we would have to use the old Volvo one, they just forgot!! Thanks for the comments though.
