Hi guys anyone got any experience with these bits of kit used for home security.

Looking at 4 or 8 port plus 80 gig HD to support it.

I am currently experimenting with one bought from Hong Kong using Ebay.

It is a bit temperamental as you cannot seem to specify which of four inputs is used and sometimes the same camera turns up on two channels.

The drivers supplied with it did not work, but I found others on the internet.

The software package seems to be pirated. It is quite impressive, but really needs to run on a dedicated PC.

All in all, it was still a bargain as it was far cheaper than the alternatives. You do need to be able to sort out a few problems for yourself if you buy one.
