Navy polyester or nylon is about 20% more expensive, according to Jimmy Green's website, and they would be harder to see in the dark.

Only benefits I can think of are that they wouldn't show the dirt so much.

Or am I missing something? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I buy Navy Blue 'cos SWMBO tells me to! (Blue stripes on the hull you see; and therefore the colours match). And I say why not! It is after all supposed to be for fun and if SWMBO wants blue lines then she has blue lines!

Navy blue lines matched my boat but then I realised that the boat had a red stripe so I now got two red ones too. Haven't used the red ones yet. Can't decide whether to use the red as springs etc.

oh how life can be so difficult at times. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Often same price at Port Solent, infact they were selling a lot of bargain rope end purple a while back.
is blue more UV resistant by being more opaque?
it's handy to ask the crew for the blue mooring line, too many other lines in the locker!

Dark colours are PITA in the dark. Knew someone who got hold of a load of black ex climbing rope.

It depends what 'Mr Rope' at the boat jumble has hanging from his trailer when I arrive, I have royal blue for the next two seasons...

I have never made a choice on colour coordination, because, well, I am a male and until 2 minutes ago didn't even know people did? I bet they have knick-knack boxes on board that match the curtains and other chintz. Or they wear gingham dresses when they go out with their wives. sad!

And what if they do? Why should it concern you? I personally don't enjoy watching football but am not derogatory toward those that do.

Didn't you read the manifesto? There are some that believe you should only be allowed to boat if you use your boat in the approved way.

Careful !! We've ended up with a much bigger boat, due to a similar approach - ie, she wanted to have a decent sized double bed !! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

too much information /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Unless bought cheaply in a sale used by those who wear matching 'crew clothes' and rarely leave the marina
