Just a thought what do you "Gurus" set your Navtex ( If you have such a thing) to record...
I get the impression that the weather info is not as complete as it was a couple of years ago... (cluttered up with repeat whisky zulus)
Oh and I refer to the South of England area..
Cheers Bob E...

I've found navtex a complete waste of paper or batteries, Offenbach RTTY gives a detailed forecast....Northwood regular pictures....I dont ever need more than that. Weather warnings you'll be aware of if your watching weather patterns develop and you have a barometer.

Assuming you have a fairly modern dual band navtex you want to set the International 518 kHz band to area E and the national 490 kHz band to area I.

For message catogories I turn everything I can off, leaving on just Nav warnings (A), gale warnings (B) and forecsats (E)

As nav warnings come in that dont not apply to my part of the English Channel I just delete them

Works quite nicely
