I keep my boat on in the Orwell and I have had probelms receiving the weather forecast from Niton. I have realised this is because Ostend starts to broadcast 10mins after Niton and if Niton have a lot of nav warnings the weather, which is transmitted last, is interfered with by Ostend. This means I get neither Niton or Ostend waether forecast.
Has anyone else experienced this and found a way round it.

Why receive BOTH stations ????? Surely like me you would only accept from the best for your area and program out the rest ? Or if going on a trip .... program in only the stations that are relevan to the trip ....
Most of the time I have only NITON received and even then I edit out most of the transmission to keep the information to only that useful to me ....

Quite a lot of info can't be programmed out, which is what I suspect is causing the problem. Happens to me too, in the Solent. Maybe what's needed is a way to desensitize reception - a local/distant switch?

The trouble with that is that in the Orwell Ostende is local and Niton is distant.
