Want to fit one or other of these to my cruiser, does anyone know which is the most accurate, useful and easist to use? Weatherman apparently picks up info from the German weather service only, which seems to limit the extent of the info, but on the other hand they are sticklers for details these Krauts.

I use a navtex clipper, lots of info and easy to program. Bloody difficult to know WHAT stations to program though. So just choose to recieve all of them and ignore the ones that don't mean anything to you. You'll have to turn it on either all the time or at least several hours before going anywhere to obtain any useful info.

PS they don't like shore power or battery chargers (inverter type) high buildings, marinas or wet places. Best fit in the cabin!

There have been a multitude of posts describing how to tune to the relevant stations. Try a search on scuttlebutt or pbo
