Seeing as I have this active Navtex antenna that nobody wants I was wondering if it could be deployed to receive Navtex in the office. Does anybody know of any software to do this with a PC? Must be cheap as this is purely a hobby project.

I've found various bits of shareware that decode the signals from an SSB radio but as I understand it the antenna has already done that. The antenna was previously working with a Silva S15 VHF radio.

I think the problem is likely to be more than just software, i.e. how do you intend to connect the "intelligent" antenna to your PC. If it is not some standard interface such as RS232 or USB then one would need to find out what the format is and it might result in requiring a hardware interface unit between the antenna and the PC. The antenna sounds as though it will also need a DC power source to make it operate which will add to the complication if it is not a USB interface.

Assumng that is solved, if the output is already a decoded text string, then Hyperterminal, which is a standard Windows accessory, is likely to be able to display it.
